Gear Spanner Servicing
To service or repair a Gear Spanner that is jammed or slipping, soak the spanner in CRC Brake Clean for a couple of hours to clean the seized spanners and to loosen debris and fine dirt particles that have clogged up the spanners.
When they come out of the CRC Brake Clean, give them a shake up and a blow out with compressed air. Repeat this step as required until all traces of dirt are removed. Once clean, soak them in CRC Marine for a couple of minutes as it has more of an oil residue to lubricate the spanner then wipe down and test.
